1978 Yamaha XS1100E Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – R/h side panel badge being the most obvious, not so obvious are the missing start button from the r/h sde & lights Hi/Lo from the l/h side. It has stood a while, so the battery is flat, paintwork is faded, tyres are perished, master cylinders are not working. Sadly, the bike has had a tumble which has bent the clutch lever, damaged the indicators, instruments & headlight.
Fuel tank is coated inside and has just minor dents/marks & scratches in the paint. 4:1 Exhaust is non-original & solid. The engine is cosmetically clean BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery & fed it fresh fuel, it fires, starts, runs & revs but it was smoking a bit at first.
