1972 Yamaha YDS7250 Unregistered US Import Classic Restoration Project

This well respected and much sought after 1972 Yamaha YDS7 250 has recently been imported from North America where its spent all of its life.
As you can see there are a few bits missing; ignition key, ball ends off the brake and clutch levers, LH mirror and tank emblems being the most obvious.
The wheels look straight but there is some rust on the bright chrome rims.
Forks look straight and chrome looks ok.
Headlight lens, bowl and rim look good.
Carburettor is free sliding off the twist grip.
Indicators and tailight look good.
Mudguards are straight and solid but there are a few small dents and slight pitting on the front.
The tank looks useably clean inside and feels solid underneath.
Chainguard is tidy.
Exhausts are solid but the silencers have some stains.
The seat base and cover are good but the foam is crumbling inside.
When we hooked it up to a good battery and hot wired the bike we had it firing, running and revving on easy start but the carb and fuel system will require some attention.
We are listing this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer.
