1978 Honda XL175 Enduro Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project
This well-respeced and much sought after 1978 Honda XL175 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – Battery, side panels, Indicators, mirrors and front sprocket cover being the most obvious. We also noted that; the rear mudguard is snapped, front mudguard is cracked, the headlight bowl is cracked, the tank has a shallow dent in the RH side and is very mucky inside.
The wheels are straight but there are some rust patches on the chrome. The forks and yokes look straight but are lightly pitted. The tail light assy is good, but loose, as are the headlight lens and rim. Instruments and switches look ok. The seat base needs some work. The chain guard is tidy. The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running after feeding fresh fuel to the carb.
