2001 Honda VT750C Shadow Ace Unregistered US Import Running Restoration Project

This well-respected and much sought-after 2001 Honda VT750C Shadow Ace as recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours. This and the fact it's only showing 14229 miles and has been in dry storage for a few years have helped maintain its boyish good looks.

We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.

As you can see this bike has a few after market parts like the Vance & Hines exhaust & forward controls. It has also got a few parts missing – badges & mirrors being the most obvious. It has stood a while, so the battery is flat. Sadly the l/h indicators are broken.

The wheels are straight with nice clean chrome rims, good hubs & brake plate, disc, caliper & working master cylinder and good tyres.

Forks & yokes look straight & clean alloy.

Mudguards are both solid & are tidy.

Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.

Instruments & switches look good.

Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.

Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside and has presentable paint.

Exhausts are solid.

Seats are in very good condition throughout.

Chain guard is tidy.

Shock absorbers are damping fine.

The engine is cosmetically clean BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery it fires, starts, runs & revs but it is obvious the carbs need attention as they are leaking.

We are listing this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer.
