1999 Yamaha VMAX Unregistered US Import Classic Running Restoration Project

This full power 1999 Yamaha Vmax 1200 has recently been imported from Japan.

As you can see this bike has a few parts missing –

ignition key, mirrors and airbox being the most obvious.

We also noted that the fuel tank is rusty inside,

there's a mark in the front wheel paint

and there in a dent in the RH silencer.

The bike has a few parts non-standard including

adjustable suspension, clutch lever & frame covers.

The wheels are straight and clean.

The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome.

The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl.

Instruments and switches look ok.

The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.

The paintwork has a few marks but is bright.

The seat base is in good condition throughout but the cover is faded.

The indicators are tidy. Both mud guards are solid.

The exhaust is solid. The engine is cosmetically clean.

BUT BEST OF ALL when we hooked it up to a good battery,

hot wired it and fed fresh fuel through the carbs we had it firing/running & revving.

We are selling this bike as a trade clearance project so make us an offer and get started!
