This well-respected, tax and MOT exempt, 1973 Yamaha RD350 has recently been imported from North America where it's spent all its life.
It appears to be missing a few parts; ball-end off the brake lever battery, LH mirror and igntion key being the most obvious. We also noted that; there is a dent in the front mudguard, and the RH side of the tank, the headlight hangers are bent and much of the chrome is sadly pitted.
The wheels, forks, yokes, and frame look straight.
The paintwork is quite bright but has a few marks.
The instruments look ok, and the switches move freely.
The seat base is solid, and the foam feels ok.
The exhausts are solid and quite bright.
The carburettor is free sliding off the twist grip.
When we hooked it up to a boost battery, hotwired it and fed fresh fuel through the carb, we had it starting, running, and revving but the carb and fuel system will require attention.
