This well-respected, and very much sought-after Tax & MOT exempt 1976 Kawasaki KZ900-A4 has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has got a few bits missing, a few bits damaged/broken, a few bits rusty/corroded, a few bits non-standard & a few bits are very nice indeed.
The wheels look straight with nice clean alloy, good discs, calipers & working master cylinders.
Forks & yokes look straight with good chrome.
Mudguards are both solid.
Taillight assy is good as are the headlight & hangers.
Instruments & switches look good.
Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
Paintwork is solid, fuel tank is useably clean inside.
Seat is in very good condition throughout.
Chain guard is solid as is the grab rail.
The engine is a KZ1000A item, it is quite clean but has some fin damage, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
