This well-respected and much sought after, tax and MOT exempt, 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000A has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the air is thin and the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – ignition key and light toggle off the RH switch gear being the most obvious. We also noted that; the exhausts and the airfilters are non-standard and the switches are a bit stiff.
The wheels are straight with clean alloy.
The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome.
The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl.
Instruments look ok.
The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
The paintwork is slightly faded but solid.
The seat base is in good condition throughout.
The indicators are tidy.
The chain guard is tidy.
Both mud guards are straight and bright.
The exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. When we hot-wired it and hooked it up to a boost battery we had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
