This well-respected, and very much sought-after Tax & MOT exempt 1973 Suzuki GT750K Kettle has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life – the climate is far kinder to motorcycles than ours.
This and the fact it's only showing 3294 miles and has been in dry storage for a considerable time have helped maintain some of its boyish good looks.
As you can see this bike has a few parts missing – L/h mirror, battery, toolkit & rear l/h reflector being the most obvious. It has stood a while, so the paintwork is faded, tyres & seat cover are perished, master cylinder is not working. Sadly, the r/h exhausts are both holed underneath, headlight bowl is broken & tank flap that hides the water filler cap is broken.
The wheels look straight with clean chrome rims, good looking hubs & brake plate, discs & calipers.
Forks & yokes look straight. Mudguards are both solid but front is dented.
Instruments & switches look good.
Carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
Fuel tank looks useably clean inside.
Exhausts are original & l/h appear to be solid.
Seat base is in good solid condition throughout.
The engine is cosmetically quite clean, it turns over nicely off the kick starter – sounds/feels great & has compression - We have had it firing/running on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention......don't fret we didn't run it long.
