This classic 1980 Suzuki GS1000G has recently been imported from North America where it has spent all its life.
We have been unable to confirm this mileage reading. Please disregard it.
The single most important purchase for a classic restoration project is the bike to restore, whether it's going to be a commercial venture or just a hobby interest.
As you can see this bike appears to be relatively complete, missing just it's RH seat trim from what we can see. We did note however that; the LH seat trim is loose, the tank lock has been pushed inward but is still accessible and there is a dent in the LH side of the tank.
The wheels are straight but there are a few marks on the alloy rims.
The forks and yokes look straight with good chrome.
The tail light assy is good as are the headlight and bowl.
Instruments look ok and switches move freely.
The carburettors are free sliding off the twist grip.
The paintwork has a few marks throughout.
The fuel tank has some rust inside.
The seat base is solid but has some surface rust.
The indicators are tidy.
Both mud guards are straight and solid. The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine is cosmetically clean. We have had it firing/running & revving on easystart spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
