1987 Yamaha FZR1000 Genesis Unregistered JAP Import Classic Restoration Project
This very nice looking 1987 Yamaha FZR1000 Genesis has recently been imported from our facility in Japan where it's spent all of it's life.
PLEASE CHECKOUT THE PICTURES........ As you can see this bike has a few marks in the paint, the brakes aren't working and the front fairing is cracked but it's a good basis for a cracking classic super bike restoration project!
The wheels are straight but there is some oxidization on the alloy. The forks and yokes look straight but are lightly pitted. The tail light assy is good as are the headlight. Instruments and switches look ok. The carburetors are free sliding off the twist grip. The paintwork is slightly faded and some decals are scuffed, fuel tank is clean inside. The seat is in good condition throughout. The indicators are tidy. The chain guard is tidy. Both mud guards are solid. The standard exhaust is solid.
The engine we have had firing/running & revving on easy start spray but the fuel system & carbs will need attention.
